About

Based in Cardiff Bay, DJ Steady Jay is internationally known for his incredible mixing, blending and turntable skills. He first started out in the early Hip Hop scene in the 1980's, honing his craft on the turntablist techniques of the scratch DJ era. Later, moving into oldskool hardcore/rave, breakbeat, jungle and drum & bass.

Having his own slot on the pirate station interFACE radio during the 90's, and travelled around Botswana sowing the seeds of jungle into Southern Africa and Puerto Rico - Caribbean D&B scene 1999-2003.

Now a resident DJ on local community radio for over 5 years, playing exclusively to the capital city - Radio Cardiff 98.7FM every Sunday afternoon, Reggae, Dub & Roots (1-3pm GMT).
